What is the meaning of convergence in a technological term? The definition I looked up first had nothing to do with what we were discussing in class last Monday.
So I put in some other terms on Google; I put in " convergence in technology, some definitions came up and then I went to dictionary.com that had a definition for convergent technologies Operating System. This was what it said " A modular, message-passing, multi-process based operating system.
Convergent Technologies' first product was the IWS (I
ntegrated Workstation) based on the Intel 8086, which had CTOS as its operating system. It is a modular operating system with built in local area networking.
I'm a still bit confused about what really the whole system is; I hope to learn more when we discuss the topic again.
